Attractions at Chicago's Millenium Park

A graduate of Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland, Brittany A. Louis holds a bachelor of arts in public relations advertisement and media sales. In her free time, Brittany A. Louis enjoys traveling and has been to numerous cities, including Chicago, which offers a number of sites to see, such as Millennium Park.

A lakefront park in the heart of downtown, Millennium Park features not only open grassy areas for relaxing, but also the famous Pritzker Pavilion, which is an outdoor music venue designed by the famous architect Frank Gehry. The structure’s stage is surrounded by stainless steel curves and a steel trellis that hovers over concert goers, who can choose to sit in chairs or lounge on the grass as they take in summer performances.

Millennium Park is also home to the Bean, a large silver mirrored sculpture in the shape of a bean. Also known as "Cloud Gate", the structure was designed by artist Anish Kapoor, who was born in India and later moved to the United Kingdom. Every year, the Bean attracts thousands of visitors to see the reflections created by its unique structure.
